Petra and Ian’s beautiful wedding at Quendon Hall

Last weekend I had the honour of shooting the wedding of Petra and Ian in the wonderful surroundings of Parklands, Quendon Hall near Sawbridgeworth. The unique thing about this venue is apparent in the big group shot here - yes, that’s deer roaming freely in the background - fantastic!

This wedding also features my choice of bouquet of the year - and the lady who created every one of the flower arrangements you see here is not even in business but simply makes them for friends and family!

I had a really good blast with them on the day and look forward to helping them choose the images for their funky Elements album when they return from honeymoon. Enjoy this selection of Petra and Ian’s images…

A west-country shoot with Helen and James

Phew! I have so much to blog that I have a bit of a back log now - here’s the pre-wedding session I shot of Helen and James a few weeks ago in sunny Bristol. It was nice to do a shoot somewhere I haven’t been in a few years and to have some different backdrops to those I usually use. Helen and James actually get married tomorrow at Offley Place near Hitchin so there’s just time to squeeze this in before their big day!

Christine and Tom at Botleys Mansion

Last weekend was a stonker with two weddings - both of which were fabulous in their very unique ways. Jenny and Matt wed on Saturday in Hertfordshire and I have to hold off the blogging because Jen writes for top wedding blog Rock My Wedding and they will be exclusively the wedding images later this month.

In the meantime, here are the shots from Sunday’s wedding between Christine and Tom at Botleys Mansion (a beautiful venue) in Chertsey, Surrey. They are a fun couple who were very relaxed about their photographs and left me with full creative control about where to take them and what to take - thanks, guys! They also booked the photobooth, which proved hugely popular, as it always does - if you want some really good fun images of you and your guests once the party has begun, this is definately for you.

Enjoy!

To start with, Christine didn’t have a traditional bouquet of flowers, preferring instead to have a corsage of orchids - her bridesmaids had the same in blue

Christine had a pair of ‘Weddingtons’ for herself and the bridesmaids…

The next three images were taken by Annamarie - my assistant for the day

Look at that expression - priceless!

And so to the beautiful new conservatory where the wedding breakfast took place…

Christine’s Mum Jackie created all the flower arrangements and centre peices on the tables with hat boxes - brilliant!

While the wedding breakfast was going on, each table was given a sheet of questions about song lyrics which Christine and Tom had set. Being a big music buff, I loved trying to get the answers right before the answers were read out after the meal…I got MOST of them right!

Time for a couple more portrait shots before the party…what a fab chair

Finally, the photobooth and time for everyone to really let their hair down and have a good laugh dressing up and generally being a bit daft!

And the Bride and Groom?
